Privacy policy

Beadline has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Your customers, photos and signatures stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.

What Beadline stores

Customers, vehicles, jobs, photos, damage marks, signatures, quotes, invoices, payments you record and settings are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. There is no Beadline account and no Beadline server that holds your data. The developer cannot see or access it. You enter this information about your own customers for your own business records, and you can edit or delete any of it in the app.

iCloud sync

If iCloud is on for your Apple Account, Apple syncs your Beadline data between your own devices using your private iCloud storage. That data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, and we cannot read it. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Beadline in iPhone Settings, [your name], iCloud. To delete synced data, use iPhone Settings, [your name], iCloud, Manage Storage.

Camera, microphone and speech

The camera is used for walk-around photos, close-ups and VIN scanning. Photos are saved inside Beadline, not in your photo library, unless you share or export them. The microphone and speech recognition are used only while you hold the voice-note button; the note is turned into text on your iPhone and the audio is not stored or sent.

Contacts and calendar

Adding a customer from Contacts uses Apple’s contact picker, so Beadline receives only the one contact you pick and never reads your address book. Calendar access is asked only if you turn on “Add jobs to Calendar”; Beadline then adds your jobs as events and does not read your calendar.

VIN decoding

When you tap Decode and have a connection, only the 17-character VIN is sent to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s public vPIC service (vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov) to look up the year, make and model. Nothing else is sent with it. With no signal, the VIN stays on your phone and is decoded later.

Messages and sharing

When you text a customer or send a PDF, Beadline opens Apple’s Messages, Mail or the share sheet. The message is sent from your phone like any other, only when you tap Send. We don’t see it.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled by Apple. We receive no name, email or card details, only Apple’s confirmation that Pro is active.

This website

This site is static pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels or forms. The web server keeps standard access logs, such as IP address, time and the page requested, for up to 14 days for security.

Children

Beadline is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
